Can we just take a moment to mourn the passing of Andrea Camilleri, the creator of the wonderful Inspector Montalbano – a police officer who lives in a house on the beach of a beautiful Sicilian village, swims every morning before work in the warm Ionian ocean, somehow manages to look good even though he’s lost all his hair and responds to any attempts to make him do paperwork by shouting “… oh to hell with this – I’m going out for coffee …”
