This book should be mandatory kit to any police officer, or any emergency worker, from fresh faced probationer to an old sweat. This book is all about self-care and as a serving officer of nearly 18 years I wish I had it when I first started. The tips on diet, illness, physical care, mental care and sleep (especially night working) are superb. The contributions from all those involved gives you valuable tools to cope with your police career. There is something for everyone, even if you think you already know all about it, this book will give you something new. I will be passing on a copy to my niece who is just starting out to give her an excellent foundation for self-care for her new career.
